Due to the location of the farm and the cost of
connecting to grid electricity, solar panels were installed. Because of the
fact that the farm buildings are far apart, each building has its own panels
and array of batteries. Low wattage DC CF globes are used throughout. For
Internet connection, gsm is used, and a resurrected/modified TV aerial was
installed for better signal.A
self-invented solar stove/cooker will be added to the outside kitchen shortly.
All in all, we
combined propriety products with home made, e.g., water wheel and old car
generators and regulators and came up with damn good power
production..
